Live updates as emergency services shut M56 after serious crash
A section of the M56 has been closed after a crash.
The incident is believed to include a car and a lorry, eastbound on the motorway, from J9 M6 J20 ( Lymm Interchange) to J7 A556 Chester Road ( Bowdon ).
According to National Highways, emergency services including police, fire and paramedics are on the scene.
