Dorchester woman in life-threatening condition after ‘serious’ crash …

The woman, aged in her 70s was taken to hospital for treatment after the crash on Monkton Hill yesterday (Friday, October 27).

As reported by the Echo,[1] Dorset Police received a report at 10.47am on Friday, October 27 of a collision on the A354 Monkton Hill involving a blue Citroen C1 and a DAF Trucks flatbed lorry.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious collision in Dorchester.

Officers attended with the ambulance service and the woman remains in a life-threatening condition and her family has been informed.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

A road closure was put in place between the Stadium Roundabout and the Jurassic Roundabout.

Police Constable Calum Maton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the collision and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“Finally, I know the road closure had a significant impact on motorists travelling in the area and I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we safely dealt with the incident.”
