Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after crash with car on busy road

A man was taken to hospital after a crash on the A131 involving a car and motorcyclist yesterday (September 10). The incident happened on the A131, High Garret in Braintree when emergency services received reports from 12.50pm about the collision.

Essex Police, East of England Ambulance Service, and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended the scene. A male cyclist in his 30s was injured and taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care.

No arrests were reported to be made. High Garrett was closed following the collision as emergency services dealt with the situation.

Heavy traffic and congestion were reported in the surrounding area while the road was closed. The road was reopened at around 3.30 pm.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service shortly before 12.55pm on Sunday 10 September following reports of a serious collision in Braintree involving a car and a motorcyclist.

"Officers attended High Garret and the road was closed whilst emergency services dealt. The motorcyclist, a man 30s, was taken to hospital. The road was reopened around 3.30pm."

An East of England Ambulance Service said: " We were called at 12.50pm yesterday with reports of a collision on the A131 in Braintree.

"We sent Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, two ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle. One person was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care."
