Arrest in Eastville after reports of anti-social motorbike riding

One arrest was made and a suspected stolen motorbike seized by police after reports of anti-social riding by a group of people in Bristol and Kingswood[1]. Police received numerous calls this afternoon (September 2) reporting a group of between 30 and 40 people riding antisocially on roads, pavements and green spaces.

Officers on the ground were supported by the drone unit and the National Police Air Service helicopter to monitor the group, several of whom were reportedly in their mid-teens and not wearing helmets.

A man in his 20s was arrested in Eastville[2] at about 3.40pm for driving offences and remains in police custody.

Police say they will review footage submitted by the public as well as that recorded by the drone and helicopter take action against those involved. No injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and give the reference 5223212767 or upload footage on the police here[4].
