Woman injured as car crashes into tree in Coventry

A woman was injured after her car crashed into a tree in Coventry[1]. It happened at the junction of Marlcroft and Middle Ride in Willenhall[2].

Paramedics were called to the scene at 8.35pm on Sunday, August 13. Crews found that the driver, a woman, and the passenger, a man, had suffered minor injuries.

West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] said the pair did not require further treatment and were given self-care advice before being discharged. Eyewitnesses said part of the road was blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident with the road reopening at around 9pm.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service[5] said: “We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Marlcroft and Middle Ride in Willenhall[6], Coventry[7] at 8.35pm and sent an ambulance and paramedic officer to the scene.

“On arrival, crews discovered a car had crashed into a tree. A woman, the driver, and the male passenger were both treated by ambulance staff for minor injuries but did not require further treatment and so were given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.”
