Londoners travelling into the capital this weekend could be faced with disruption due to closures on TfL services.

Here is the full list of closures over the weekend, August 4 to 6.

Trains to Brighton

Due to safety concerns, there will be no national rail (Southern, Thameslink or Gatwick Express) services to or from Brighton or the Sussex coast on Saturday August 5, and no replacement transport will be available.

If you are planning to travel to Brighton Pride on Saturday you will need to seek alternative routes, or travel on a different day. For more information, visit the Southern website.

Bakerloo line

Until Thursday August 10

No service between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone

For travel to/from central London, use alternative routes via the Jubilee, Metropolitan, Central or Piccadilly lines, London Northwestern Railway services or local bus routes. For stations between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, use bus routes 18, N18, 36, 79, 83, 112, 182, 223, 258, 260, 266, 440, 483, 487 and 718.

Bus route 718 is a temporary route that will run throughout this line closure. Bus route 718 will run daily every 10 minutes between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone.

London Overground

Until Thursday August 10

No service between Watford Junction and Willesden Junction

Use London Northwestern Railway services or bus routes 718 and 720. Bus routes 718 and 720 are temporary routes that will run throughout this line closure. Bus route 720 will run every 20 minutes between Watford Junction and Harrow-on-the-Hill (via Harrow & Wealdstone). Bus route 718 will run every 10 minutes between Harrow & Wealdstone and Stonebridge Park.

Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6

No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction

A rail replacement bus service will run every 30 minutes.

Monday 7 to Thursday August 10

No service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon after 11pm each night

Use local bus or tram routes. A Southern rail replacement bus service is expected to depart from London Bridge at 0.35am , calling at New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Norwood Junction and East Croydon. Visit the Southern website for more information.

The last trains from Highbury & Islington to Crystal Palace will depart at 10.55pm, from Crystal Palace to Highbury & Islington at 11.32pm, from Highbury & Islington to West Croydon at 10.47pm, and from West Croydon to Highbury & Islington at 11.16pm.

No westbound service between Stratford and Camden Road after 11.45pm each night

The last two trains from Stratford (at 11.59pm and 00.15am) will start from Camden Road at 0.18am and 0.34am. The last westbound service will depart from Stratford at 11.44pm. Alternatively, use local bus routes.

Wednesday 9 and Thursday August 10

No eastbound service between Willesden Junction and Stratford after 11pm each night

Use local bus routes. The last trains from Richmond to Stratford will depart at 10.35pm, from Clapham Junction to Stratford at 10.18pm, and from Willesden Junction to Stratford at 10.52pm.

London trams

Friday August 4 to Sunday August 13

No service between Wimbledon and Therapia Lane

Use local bus routes or the tram replacement bus service. Tram replacement buses will run between Wimbledon and Waddon Marsh, calling at Morden Road and Belgrave Walk, then all stops to Waddon Marsh.

Woolwich Ferry

Until Sunday September 3, the Woolwich Ferry is closed for essential dry dock works. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative river crossings at Dartford, Blackwall, and Rotherhithe.

Pedestrians should use the Woolwich Foot Tunnel or the DLR between King George V and Woolwich Arsenal.

Friday August 4 to Sunday 6 August

Tulse Hill/Tower Bridge areas

Pokemon Go Fest 2023 will be taking place in Brockwell Park from 9am until 7pm each day. There will also be a small activation taking place at Potters Field next to Tower Bridge. Large crowds are expected.

Crystal Palace Park

The South Facing Festival will be taking place at the Crystal Palace Bowl in Crystal Palace Park from 6pm until 11pm on Friday, and from 5.30pm until 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. Large crowds are expected.

Saturday August 5

Leyton to Dulwich Park

The Black Unity Bike Ride will be taking place from 09:00 until 18:00, starting from Leyton Sports Ground in east London and ending in Dulwich Park in south London. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Copthall Playing Fields

The 51st State Festival will be taking place at the Copthall Playing Fields from 11am until 10pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Aldwych area

A demonstration will be taking place from 12pm until 5pm outside the Indian High Commission in Aldwych. Large crowds are expected.

Sunday August 6

Central, east and south London areas

Challenge London (formerly known as the London Triathlon) will be taking place throughout areas in central, east and south London. There will be extensive road closures in place within the boroughs of Westminster, City of London, Tower Hamlets and Southwark. Road closures will be in place from 0.01am until 8pm, with some road closures in place until 11.59pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Cranford Park (near Heathrow)

The Goan Festival will be taking place in Cranford Park from 11am until 8pm. The High Street will be closed between Park Lane and Kavan Gardens for the event. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

A match between Tottenham Hotspur and Shakhtar Donetsk will be taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from 11.50am until 5.15pm. Local road closures and bus diversions will be in place. Kick-off is at 2pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Southwark Park

The Bermondsey Carnival 2023 will be taking place in Southwark Park between 12pm and 8pm. Large crowds are expected.

Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium will be hosting a football match between Manchester City and Arsenal from 2pm until 8pm. Kick-off is at 4pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

The Oval

The Hundred Cricket event will be taking place at the Oval from 2.30pm until 10pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Until Saturday August 12

Until 5pm on Saturday August 12, there will be a southbound road closure on Great Cambridge Road between Turkey Street and Hoe Lane.

Until mid-August

Vincent Road (Woolwich Arsenal station)

Until mid-August, Vincent Road will be closed. The road closure will be on Vincent Road adjacent to the Bull Tavern.

Until Saturday August 19

Tooley Street

Until Saturday August 19, every Wednesday to Friday night from 9pm until 5pm the following morning, the north-westerly bus lane will be closed between its junctions with Tanner Street and Fair Street.

Until Thursday August 31

A3, Borough High Street

Until Thursday August 31, every Monday to Thursday night from 10pm until 5am the following morning, Borough High Street will be closed northbound between its junctions with Borough High Street (western arm) and Duke Street Hill. It will also be closed southbound between its junctions with Duke Street Hill and St Thomas Street. Local access to London Bridge Street will be maintained.

Southwark Street

Until Thursday August 31, every Monday to Thursday night from 10pm until 5am the following morning, Southwark Street will be closed eastbound between its junctions with Southwark Bridge Road and Borough High Street. Local access will be maintained.

Wandsworth Bridge closure

Until the end of September 2023, Wandsworth Bridge will be closed to all motorised traffic. This is while the London Borough of Wandsworth carries out essential safety repairs. The bridge will be open for walking. If you are cycling, you’ll be able to push your bike across. Diversions will be in place, but all local roads and nearby river crossings are expected to be extremely busy.

Bus routes C3, 295 and 28 will stop short north of the river while route N28 will be diverted across Battersea Bridge. A temporary bus route, 728 will run between Wandsworth Town Centre and Fulham Broadway via Battersea Bridge. Plan ahead, leave more time for your journey and use alternative routes and modes where possible.
