The blue HGV toppled over and shed its load at a bend in Hadley Park East at about 2.25pm.
Three fire crews, West Mercia Police officers and the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) all attended. Paramedics treated the driver at the scene and then took him to hospital in Wolverhampton.
West Mercia Police said the driver had suffered a head injury.
Meanwhile a statement from WMAS said: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Hadley Park East in Hadley, Telford at around 2.25pm. An ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a lorry had been involved in a collision and ended up on its side.
"The driver, a man, was treated by ambulance staff for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton for further treatment."
The fire service said: "Three fire appliances were mobilised from Telford and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
"Also at the scene of the incident were the land ambulance service and the police.
"This incident involved one HGV lorry that had over turned, incident was left in hands of the police who will arrange recovery, one male in care of ambulance."
