M25 traffic updates as crash shut two lanes near Godstone – recap

A crash on the M25 this morning (August 29) at around 10am, lead to heavy traffic[1], and two lane closures. Vehicles moving clockwise towards Godstone were caught in the traffic moving from Clacket Lane Services.

The crash was between a van and a lorry, reported Surrey Police. It occured between junctions 5 and 6 on the M25. Surrey Police said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision between a van and a lorry on the M25 this morning (29 August). The collision occurred clockwise between junction 5 and 6. Fortunately no injuries were sustained. National Highways are dealing with the scene."

According to traffic data company, Inrix, traffic was "slow" in the area with "long delays". The incident impacted those moving from Sevenoaks in Kent, up towards the M25 junction 6.

Inrix said: "Two lanes closed and slow traffic due to crash on M25 clockwise[2] from Clacket Lane Services to J6 A22 (Godstone)."
