Chiltern Railways warns travellers ahead of 10 week disruption
Between August 7 and August 18, Aylesbury Station will be closed while a Victorian drainage culvert that has caused frequent unplanned line closures since March undergoes replacement.
The line between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury will also be closed from August 7 to October 29 while the Princes Risborough line is realigned to enable HS2 to pass beneath it.

The total 10 weeks of disruption have been intentionally merged to minimise expenditure and public disruption, according to Chiltern Railways. Rail replacement buses will be provided throughout the scheduled period, running between Amersham, Great Missenden, Wendover, Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury, and Aylesbury Vale Parkway where connections can be made to London Underground services. Denise Wetton, Network Rail's Central Route Director, said: "We know there's never a convenient time to close the railway and we're sorry to passengers in Buckinghamshire who have already suffered from short-notice closures of the line between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury for several months. "When completed, this vital work will mean more reliable journeys for passengers travelling between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough on a railway that's fit for the future."References
