Brighton vs West Ham match: Train strikes to impact journeys
Trains will be limited and finish much earlier due to strike action from RMT union.
There will be no trains along the West Coastway line between Brighton[1] and Southampton after 7pm and those travelling back into London are urged to leave the stadium as soon as the match finishes to catch the last trains.
The match will finish at around 7.20pm. The last train to London Victoria on Southern’s website is at 9.20pm from Brighton.

Services will be extremely busy, queuing will be in place and there is a possibility that not everyone will be able to board the final services of the evening according to Southern Rail.
Chris Fowler, network operations and performance director for Govia Thames Railway (GTR), said: “We’re really sorry about the impact that this industrial action is having on our customers’ travel plans, especially over the bank holiday.
"We’ll be running as many trains as we can, but unfortunately there will be a limited service and most routes will start later and finish earlier than usual.
“It’s incredibly important that people check their entire journey, including any connections, before they travel, allow plenty of time, and try not to rely on the last scheduled train. Stations and trains will be much busier than normal, especially at the start-up and close of services.”
GTR is urging people to only travel by rail if necessary.
The park-and-ride service for the West Ham game has sold out bus tickets for the bus services from Mill Road and Brighton Racecourse.
Fans can also walk and cycle or catch a Brighton and Hove[2] Bus.
