Man suffers life-changing injuries in A36 motorcycle crash

A man was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries following a crash on the A36 in Wiltshire[1]. The crash, involving a motorcycle and a car, left the road closed for several hours between the A303[2] (Deptford) and A30 (Wilton).

Wiltshire Police[3] and the South Western Ambulance Service[4] were called to the road at around 11.20am on Tuesday, July 18, following reports of the crash. One man was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

A police statement, issued on Tuesday evening, said the man's next of kin had been informed of his condition. The road remained closed into the night while vehicles were recovered.

National Highways confirmed in a tweet this morning (July 19) the A36 had reopened following accident investigations work. Wiltshire Police are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision.

A police statement said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car on the A36 near Stapleford around 11.20am this morning (Tuesday). A man has been taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.
