Edinburgh bus and van crash at busy junction as emergency …

Emergency services rushed to a busy Edinburgh road[1] following a collision between a bus and van.

The incident took place at the junction between Clermiston Road North and Queensferry[2] Road around 10.30pm on Tuesday evening as police and paramedics were pictured at the scene.

It is understood a white van and a service 21 Lothian Bus[3] collided, with the van suffering heavy damage. One concerned local captured a picture of the van with a crumpled front at the busy junction.

Another video closer to the scene shows several police vehicles parked next to the damaged bus with the driver speaking with emergency services and passengers being helped off.

The road was temporarily closed while recovery for both vehicles took place, with separate diversions in place. It is currently unclear if any passengers onboard the bus or the driver of van suffered any injuries.

Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Lothian Buses have been approached for comment.
