A47 crash near Thorney sees car end up in ditch as woman cut free …

A woman was cut free from a car following a crash on a busy Cambridgeshire[1] A-road. Emergency services were called to the A47 near Thorney Toll on Thursday morning after the vehicle ended up in a ditch.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 11.39am on Thursday (13) crews from March and Wisbech were called to a road traffic collision on the A47, between Thorney and Guyhirn.

"Firefighters arrived to find a car in a ditch. Using specialist equipment they released a female casualty who was left in the care of ambulance crews. The crews returned to their stations by 12.45pm."
