A 19-year-old motorist has sadly died following a three-vehicle crash[1] on a major East Yorkshire road.

The teenager was driving a Mini when it was in a collision with a Ford Fiesta and Ford Tourneo close to the Allerthorpe roundabout on the A1079, near Pocklington[2]. The crash happened at around 3.30pm on Friday which left the road closed for some time.

The teenager was initially reported by police as having been taken to hospital with "suspected minor injuries" but he passed away on Sunday morning. Another man suffered serious injuries in the crash and remains in hospital although his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
