Two people in hospital after A143 crash at Haddiscoe

Police, fire and ambulance crews and the East Anglian air ambulance were called to the scene of the collision between a blue Vauxhall Agila and a Scania HGV on the A143 Beccles Road at Haddiscoe at about 4pm on Monday. 

A passenger in the Vauxhall was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains.

The driver of the Vauxhall was taken to James Paget University Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Both were transported to hospital by land ambulances.

The road was closed and occupants who were trapped had to be released with hydraulic equipment.

Officers want to hear from anyone who has any information regarding the manner of driving prior to the collision or who may have any dashcam footage of the incident.
