Police ‘really worried’ for missing woman, 71, from South Ockendon

There are significant concerns about an elderly woman who has gone missing from an Essex town. Pamela Thomas has not been seen since Friday evening (June 16) and is described as vulnerable.

The 71-year-old was reported missing from the Darenth Road area of South Ockendon at around 5.25pm on Friday but hasn’t been seen since around 3.30pm. Essex Police said she is vulnerable and officers are "really worried" about her.

She’s described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, and wearing a white top with a navy stripe on it, navy trousers, and white shoes. Pamela is an active walker and there is a chance she may have travelled to Rainham, Hornchurch, or Upminster areas.

Inspector Dan Selby said: “Pamela has not been seen for nearly 17 hours and we’re really worried about her. She is vulnerable and it’s really important we find her to make sure she’s ok.

“Since she was reported missing we’ve been carrying out a series of enquiries to find her but we also need the public’s help. If you’ve seen her, are with her, or have any information about where she is, please call us immediately”.
