M6 crash recap as man hurt in car and lorry crash

Motorists were warned about long delays on the M6 this morning following a crash. Traffic was backing up on the northbound stretch of motorway.

Vehicles were stopped between J11a for M6 toll[1] and J12 for Telford.[2] The congestion went back to J10 for Walsall,[3] a spokesperson for National Highways West Midlands said.

The tweeted at around 6.30am: "M6 northbound between J11a (@M6tollRoad) and J12 (#A5 #Telford) #Staffordshire TRAFFIC STOPPED Due to 2 vehicle collision.

"@CMPG @OFFICIALWMAS @StaffsFire and our #trafficofficers on scene. 1 hour delay and 3 miles of congestion."

They went on to add: "90-minute delay with congestion back to J10 for #Walsall and T7 @M6tollRoad."
