M4 traffic held as air ambulance called to lorry crash

A crash involving a lorry in Wiltshire is causing long queues to form on the M4 this morning (June 22). The incident has been reported between junctions 15 and 14 on the motorway in Wiltshire.

Traffic monitoring website Inrix says the crash happened on the London-bound side of the M4. However, it adds traffic on the Bristol-bound side was held as an air ambulance has been called out, although the closure has been lifted heading west.

A post on the site published originally at 10am and updated at 10.25am says all traffic is being held between the junctions for Swindon East and Hungerford. An update from the sites describes the motorway as being blocked heading east.
