LIVE: M6 delays as lorry break down leads to lane closures

Motorists are warned to expect delays from J10A for the M54 interchange through to J11 Cannock after a lorry broke down on the M6 southbound in Staffordshire this afternoon.

The incident has led to two lanes being closed, with traffic queuing for five miles between J10A for the M54 interchange and J10 for the A454 Wolverhampton Road.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix reports congestion to J11 Cannock and on the link road from the M54, with travel time around 25 minutes.

Lanes one and two of four are currently closed.

Inrix reports: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic for five miles due to broken down lorry on M6 Southbound between J10A (M54 Interchange) and J10 A454 Wolverhampton Road (Wolverhampton / Walsall). Congestion to J11 (Cannock) and on the link road from the M54. Travel time is 25 minutes.
