Dates and times M25 and A3 will be partly closed in Surrey

There are several overnight road closures planned this week on the M25[1] and A3 drivers will need to be aware of. While closures are usually scheduled to take place from late at night until the early hours of the morning the following day, work can sometimes overrun.

Most overnight closures are occurring on the M25 this week, mainly around Junction 9 and the Wisley Interchange as widening works continue.

Road closures[2] are usually scheduled between 10pm and 6am, but roads[3] can shut as early as 9pm for maintenance works. Diversions are sometimes put into place as alternative routes. SurreyLive has listed all of the closures planned for every day this week below. Note, these can be subject to change so it is always worth checking the National Highways website[4] for the latest updates.

Tuesday, June 6

  • A3 northbound Ripley[6] to Wisley Lane, entry and exit slip road closures for junction improvement scheme. A diversion route is in place via local authority network from 10pm to 5.30am

  • M25 clockwise junction 8 to junction 9. Lane and entry slip road closure for surfacing works. Diversion via A217 Reigate, A25, A24 northbound to re-join at M25 junction 9 from 10pm to 5.30am

Wednesday, June 7

  • A3 northbound and southbound Hindhead’s[7] Portsmouth Road Hazel Grove Slip road closures for Surrey County Council[8] works. Diversion via National Highways network from 10pm to 5.30am

  • A3 northbound Ripley to Wisley Lane, entry and exit slip road closures for junction improvement scheme. Diversion via local authority network from 10pm to 5.30am

  • M25 clockwise junction 8 to junction 9. Lane and entry slip road closure for surfacing works. Diversion via A217 Reigate, A25, A24 northbound to re-join at M25 junction 9 from 10pm to 5.30am

Saturday, June 10

  • M25 clockwise junction 9 to junction 10. Carriageway and lane closures for junction improvement scheme. Diversion via exit slip, roundabout and entry slip road from 10pm to 6am

  • M25 anticlockwise junction 11 to junction 10. Carriageway and lane closures for junction improvement scheme. Diversion via the exit slip, roundabout and entry slip road from 10pm to 6am
