Major Hampshire road remains closed after fatal crash on Wednesday
A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a lorry on the A272 near Langrish between West Meon Hut and Petersfield on Wednesday.
The ROMANSE traffic information service tweeted this morning:

— ROMANSE (@ROMANSE) May 26, 2023[5]Police confirmed that a 25-year-old man from Waterlooville died at the scene. He has not been named.
The road has been closed since to allow crash investigators to work safely.
A police spokesman said on Wednesday: "We were called at 7.26am this morning, May 24, to a collision between a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a heavy goods vehicle at Langrish.
"The rider of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old man from Waterlooville, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"We would ask that anyone with information to make contact. We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage that may assist our investigation.
"If you witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicles just prior to the incident, please call us on 101 with reference 44230204692. Alternatively, you can submit information online via hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/.
"Due to nature of enquiries needing to be completed, we are expecting the A272 will remain closed between Langrish and Bordean Lane for a number of hours.
"We would like to thank you for your patience as we complete these enquiries."
