Lorry driver taken to hospital after vehicle overturned

A driver was taken to hospital after his lorry overturned on the Maerdy Mountain Road, on Wednesday, May 24. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
South Wales Police[1] confirmed that they received a report of the incident around 3.15pm and the road was closed until the lorry was recovered. Maerdy Mountain Road reopened at around 4am this morning.
A statement from South Wales Police said: "Shortly after 3.15pm yesterday South Wales Police was called to a report of an overturned lorry on the Maerdy Mountain Road. The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
"The road was closed until the lorry was recovered. The road reopened at around 4.00am this morning."
