Part of the A34 has re-opened (Image: NQ staff) Part of the A34 has re-opened after emergency resurfacing works were need in response to a crash between a bus and a lorry. National Highways were forced to close the dual carriageway northbound near Abingdon after a collision took place.[1]

In explaining the road closures, National Highways said that the crash had left behind a large amount of spilled fuel and this had damaged the road surface.

The A34 was subsequently closed between the A4130, Didcot, and the A415, Abingdon[3], to allow for the emergency resurfacing works to take place throughout the night.

This morning, National Highways announced this stretch of road had re-opened and the public was thanked for their patience.
