The scene at Whippingham. (Image: Isle of Wight County Press) TRAFFIC is heavy in Whippingham after a car crash involving at least three cars this afternoon (Friday). Eye-witnesses at the scene say a driver has fled.
One car has crashed into a hedge and at least two others are badly damaged. In attendance are the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
Police are closing Whippingham Road between East Cowes Road and Alverstone Road. More to follow See below Facebook Live by the County Press, from the scene:
