Man hospitalized after Tipton crash involving five people

A man has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Tipton[1] involving five people. The smash took place on Hurst Lane just after 12pm today, April 20. One of the drivers, a man, was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

Another man, who was driving the other vehicle, was checked over by paramedics but did not need further treatment. Meanwhile, a woman and two children were also assessed but they did not need any treatment. A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service[2] said: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Hurst Lane in Tipton just after midday.

"Two ambulances were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision. One of the drivers, a man, was treated by ambulance staff for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment. "The driver of the other car, also a man, was assessed for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

He was given self-care advice and was discharged at the scene.

Three other patients - a woman and two children - were assessed by ambulance crews but were not injured."
