Delays on A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road in Ashford after crash near …
A woman has been injured following a crash involving a car and a lorry on a roadworks-hit dual carriageway. Drivers faced delays on A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road in Sevington, Ashford[1], following the incident at the junction for the Finberry housing estate.
The westbound side of the carriageway was closed as a result of the crash, which happened at about 2.30pm. Kent Highways said there was queueing traffic approaching McDonald's and The Boulevard.
Police were called to the scene at 2.30pm.
"Officers attended the A2070 in Sevington, Ashford along with other emergency services," a spokesperson said. "A woman reported injuries. "The road was partially closed while recovery work was ongoing."
Contractors have been in the area for months as work to replace the Orbital Park roundabout with a traffic-light controlled junction continues.
The 'Bellamy Gurner' project is due to be completed at the end of April following numerous delays[2].
