Brixton photo of the day: lorry, steam engine, bike and mural in Valentia Place

Brixton photo of the day: lorry, steam engine, bike and Brixton in Valentia Place

We rather liked this juxtaposition of a cyclist about to pass a lorry painted with a steam engine next to the mural in Valentia Place, Brixton.

The mural was painted by Create Not Destroy  in tribute to local music legend TY. Read more about it here:  Wonderful Brixton Baby mural appears in Valentia Place, Brixton.[1][2]

Parked on Station Road is a distinctive truck from Dutch Quality Flowers,[3] who export fresh flowers directly from the Dutch flower auction to the UK. All of their trucks feature artistic renditions of classic transport scenes, including steam engines and steam boats.

We love ’em!
