Pheasants found dead in Oxted church car park

Police are investigating after a number of pheasants were found dead in a Surrey church car park. Officers say the game birds were discovered outside Hurst Green Methodist Church, in Hurst Green, Oxted[1], in a "distressing incident" last month.

Surrey Police[2] said: "We are aware of a distressing incident involving the killing of a number of pheasants which were found in the car park of Hurst Green Methodist Church on Saturday, 23 September. We liaised with our rural crime officers around this incident at the time of reporting, and enquiries are underway."
