Oxfordshire roadworks this week including the M40 and A34
There are several road closures scheduled for this week across Oxfordshire, including closures on the M40 and more. National Highways[1] has released its weekly report of major roadworks across the country, including busy Oxfordshire roads.
The A34[2] has plenty of closures this week. Closures are taking place due to maintenance works, carriageway repairs and more.
A detailed map of all Oxfordshire road works across the county can be accessed through the county council's website[3] and via an interactive map. All information is correct at the time of writing, however, Oxfordshire Live recommends checking your desired route before heading off to avoid any delays.
The full list of major Oxfordshire roadworks according to National Highways are;
A34 roadworks:
- A34 Southbound- Hinksey Hill entry slip road closure from June 5 at 9pm until June 7 at 6am
- A34 Southbound- Hinksey Hill exit slip road closure from June 5 at 9pm until June 7 at 6am
- A34 Southbound- South Hinksey entry slip road closure from June 5 at 9pm until June 6 at 6am
- A34 Southbound- South Hinksey exit slip road closure from June 5 at 9pm until June 7 at 6am
- A34 Southbound- Abingdon exit slip road closure from June 8 at 9pm until June 9 at 6am
- A34 Northbound- Botley to Peartree carriageway closure from June 9 at 9pm until June 12 at 6am
M40 roadworks:
- M40 Northbound[4]- Junction 3 to junction 4 carriageway closure from June 5 at 9:30pm until June 6 at 6am
- M40 Northbound- Junction 4 exit slip road closure from June 5 at 9:30pm until June 6 at 6am
- M40 Southbound- Junction 14 exit slip road closure from June 9 at 9:30pm until June 10 at 6am
