Police yet to name 18-year-old who died in A9 crash

POLICE Scotland have yet to name an 18-year-old who died in a crash on the A9 on Friday.

The teenager was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after a two vehicle crash on the road near Dalmagarry, north of Tomatin.

The incident took place at around 6.05 in the morning and involved a car and a lorry. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

The road was closed[2] until around 11.15pm and enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At this time, our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the deceased, along with everyone else affected by this incident."
