M6, M53, and M56 set to close with drivers warned of ‘delays’
Motorists in Merseyside have been warned to expect delays and disruption as a number of Merseyside motorways will be partially closed this week.
Sections of the M6, M53, and the M56 will be partially closed for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to "expect disruption".
This week (May 15 - May 21) will see delays on the M6 southbound for six days and delays on the M56 eastbound for four days.
Monday, May 15
The M6 southbound within J21A before M62 J10 westbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 northbound between junctions J21A from M62 eastbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 southbound between junctions J21A from M62 Westbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M53 southbound between junctions J4 and J5 will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M56 eastbound between junctions J12 and J11 between 8.30am and 5am
The M56 westbound between junctions J11 and J12 between 8.30am and 5am
Tuesday, 16 May
The M6 northbound between junctions J21A from M62 eastbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 southbound between junctions J21A from M62 Westbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 southbound within J21A before M62 J10 westbound will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 southbound between junctions J22 and J21A will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 northbound at junction J26 from 9pm until 6am
The M6 northbound between junctions J21 and J21A will be closed from 9pm until 6am
The M6 southbound at junction J21A will be closed from 9pm until 6am
