Motorists are facing traffic chaos on the M25 today (May 30) due to a vehicle fire close to the turn-off for Brentwood. There are severe delays on the M25, around 90 minutes above the usual travelling time.
Congestion has reached J30 for the A13 at Lakeside Shopping Centre. Traffic is being diverted through the M11, A12 and North Circular.
Traffic cameras show a large fire on the hard shoulder of the M25, surrounded by a substantial amount of liquid. Smoke can be seen billowing into the sky.
Emergency services are currently are the scene, according to INRIX. Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for further information.
