Hunt for motorbike that failed to stop after crash at car meet

Police are investigating a crash which happened at a car meet near Colchester[1] today (Sunday, May 21). They said the collision, involving a BMW that hit a set of railings, happened at Abberton Reservoir.

Essex Police said officers were called out at 6.30pm to reports a white BMW had struck the railings and gone on to the grass verge. "We believe a number of vehicles had been driven anti-socially in the build up to the incident, including a motorbike which failed to stop for our officers when directed," they said.

"Officers are now investigating the circumstances which led up to the collision and carrying out enquiries to locate the motorbike. If you saw anything, have any dash cam or other footage, or have any other information in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us."
