Grandmother found dead after going missing on Greek holiday

A missing grandmother from Bath[1] has been found dead in a remote part of a Greek island. Susan Hart, 74, disappeared on April 30 while on holiday with her husband, Ed, in Telendos.

It is reported that she went missing after her husband went rock climbing. It is said that she planned to read a book but vanished.

As reported by The Express,[2] Mrs Hart's daughter Ruth Landale said she was identified by her stepfather. The family are heartbroken and are now waiting for her body to be repatriated to Switzerland where she was living.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out in Greece. Mrs Hart has three daughters who grew up in Bath but now live in Canada, Australia and London with their young families.

Ms Lansdale said her mother had been showing symptoms of dementia. However, she had not yet received a diagnosis.

She said: "It's been a stressful and distressing time for the whole family. A spokesman from the Foreign Office confirmed the family are being supported and talks are ongoing with local authorities
