Air ambulance called to Tesco as ‘woman knocked over’ in car park

Emergency services including the air ambulance were called to Tesco Extra in Quedgeley[1] after a woman was reportedly knocked down by a car in the supermarket's car park. The incident happened at around 11.15am on Saturday (May 20).

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police[2] said: "We were called at 11.14am by the ambulance service to Tesco to help with a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. One person was taken to hospital by land ambulance."

It is understood the air ambulance landed at the the car park of the Haywain pub near the supermarket on Bristol Road. Sharing news on social media, people were quick to wish the injured woman well.

The Tesco Extra[4] is on Bristol Road, Quedgeley and the incident is now over. Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
