Huge new warehouse for Marks & Spencer opens in Bradford
A NEW 52,000 sq ft state-of-the-art warehouse for high street giant Marks & Spencer has opened in Bradford. The custom warehouse, near the M606, known in the industry as an Equipment Consolidation Centre, was created by Wakefield-based Sigma. It will operate seven days a week and is bespoke to M&S.
The centre will run with a focus on carbon-neutral sustainability, with on-site recycling and refurbishing facilities that will support the whole of Marks & Spencer's UK network. Craig Bennett, CEO of Sigma, said: "Delivery of this facility is an exciting new addition to the suite of services that Sigma already provides for M&S, and further builds on our partnership with the brand. "It also further enhances our reputation for delivering world-class solutions for our clients across multiple sectors."
Neil Stinson, Head of Store Development and Location Planning, Property for Marks & Spencer, added: "We are pleased to be moving into this new purpose-designed facility in the heart of Yorkshire.
"This significant investment in infrastructure will help support the delivery of our property transformation programme, enabling us to continue to serve our customers across the UK."
