DVSA gets tough on queue-jumping truckers


The DVSA has warned HGV drivers they will be slapped with GBP300 fines and sent to the back of the queue if they are caught violating traffic rules on Kent roads this summer. The enforcement agency said it was expecting a high level of congestion over the next three weekends due to increased summer holiday traffic. During the recent half term holiday it said some hauliers caused congestion by deliberately violating traffic management guidance and jumping the queue.
