Northern Ireland traffic alerts: Caravan fire on M1 causes delays

A caravan which burst into flames while being towed along the M1 towards Belfast is causing delays on Wednesday morning.

he caravan has been pulled into a side lane close to the Applegreen service station.

The blaze is now believed to have been put out but the incident has caused delays in the area.

Meanwhile, a lorry on fire has blocked a section of the A1 resulting in heavy smoke in the area.

Motorists have been asked by the PSNI to avoid the section of the carriageway between Newry and Dundalk.
