M60 delays as slip road closed due to fuel spillage
Statement from Fire
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have provided a statement on the ongoing incident on the clockwise M60 exit slip road by junction 13.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At 7.20am on Tuesday, 8th June, firefighters were called to reports of a fuel leak on the M60, near to junction 13.
“One fire engine from Eccles quickly attended the scene. The incident involved an articulated lorry which was leaking fuel onto the carriageway.
“Fire crews used specialist equipment to clear the spillage and were in attendance for around one hour and 30 minutes.”
