Truck crashes into Burlington hotel, injuring person inside

A Burlington motel suffered thousands of dollars in damage after a man drove his truck into the side of the building, according to police.

(C) Provided by WXII 12 Greensboro-Winston-Salem burlington police say a man was impaired when his truck slammed into a motel room.

Tony R. Strader, 49, is charged with driving while impaired and felony hit and run.

Strader is accused of driving a truck into the Econo Lodge. The truck came to a stop inside one of the rooms just missing a man inside.

The man inside has minor injuries from the debris. No other injuries were reported. Damage at the Econo Lodge is estimated at £25,000.
