Steve Dean has been the engineering mind behind the Ascendant platforms from the very start, however after a series of financial challenges and changes in ownership the company was closed in March 2019 – see: Redwood Ascendant closes its doors.

However Dean continued to run the separate parts and service operation to support the 500 units or so in service and is now looking to get back into building production machines.
