Truck collides with SD DOT plow west of Lead

LEAD, S.D. -- Charges are pending against the driver of a pickup truck after his vehicle collided with a South Dakota DOT plow Monday morning. Around 11:20, a 39-year-old male was driving a pickup truck, traveling west on US Highway 14A, roughly seven miles west of Lead. A SD Highway Patrol official said the truck was rounding a curve when the driver lost control and slid into oncoming traffic, colliding with a snow plow clearing snow from the road.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and neither were injured.
The SD Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
