Barclays backing for truck and engine parts distributor

A West Yorkshire truck and engine parts distributor is set to expand its fleet of vans, supported by a six-figure finance package from Barclays. Imexpart Ltd (IMEX) was founded by Arthur Pinkney more than 33 years ago and is headquartered in Castleford. The company supplies more than 15,000 customers with replacement truck parts and all makes of engine parts from its purpose built depots located around the UK, assisted by a team of more than 70 employees.

Annual turnover for 2019 is expected to exceed GBP10m. The Barclays funding will be used to replace and update the firm's existing fleet of commercial vehicles with 22 new Mercedes vans. Arthur Pinkney, owner and managing director of IMEX, said: "We are delighted to be investing further in our commercial van fleet which helps us to futureproof our services to new and existing customers across the UK.

This will allow us to increase our capacity as well as making sure we have the best resources available to meet growing demand and deliver the highest level of customer service."
